ACTION
Follow the service procedure in this bulletin to replace the upper CVT fluid cooler hose and clamps.


Do NOT follow the procedure in the ESM for CVT fluid cooler hose replacement.



Do NOT reconnect the original upper CVT fluid cooler hose.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2.

Remove the front under cover bolts and clips and remove the front under cover.

3.

Lower the vehicle.

4.

Remove the Air duct 2 (air inlet duct).

Remove the upper horn.

7.

Disconnect the secondary latch cable from the hood lock assembly.

Remove the two (2) upper fascia retainer supports.

Disconnect the hood lock assembly connector.

Unclip the wiring harness from the upper fascia retainer.

Remove the secondary latch.

Release the pawls at each top corner of the condenser.


Carefully lift the condenser up at both ends, and pull it slightly away from the radiator on the driver
side.

Remove the upper CVT fluid cooler hose from the cooler fitting, if it is not currently detached.


Use a drain pan to catch any CVT fluid that might come out of the cooler hose and fitting.

Disconnect the upper CVT fluid cooler hose from the CVT oil warmer.


Remove the upper CVT fluid cooler hose from the vehicle.
NOTE: Do not reuse this hose and its related clamps. They will be replaced with those listed in the
PARTS INFORMATION.

Clean the outer surfaces of both the CVT fluid cooler and the CVT oil warmer hose fittings with an
alcohol wipe from the Squeak and Rattle Kit.


“Shop paper” (lint-free towel) and Nissan brake cleaner or equivalent cleaner can be used. Make
sure the cleaner used complies with local regulations.



Always use a lint-free towel. Never use a shop cloth.

Install the new upper CVT fluid cooler hose and route it exactly like the original hose using new clamps.

Reassemble the vehicle in reverse order of disassembly.

25.

Adjust the CVT fluid to the correct level. Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE >
TRANSAXLE & TRANSMISSION > CVT: GE0F10A > PERIODIC MAINTENANCE > CVT FLUID.

26.

Perform radar alignment. Refer to the ESM: CRUISE CONTROL & DRIVER ASSISTANCE > DRIVER
ASSISTANCE SYSTEM > DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM > BASIC INSPECTION > ADDITIONAL
SERVICE WHEN REPLACING ICC SENSOR.
