Overview
On certain 911 (991) series of model years 2012–2014 with 7-speed manual transmissions, it is
possible that the transmission actuation of the reversing light switch was not manufactured in
accordance with the required speci cation.
In order to obtain ndings on the durability of reversing light actuation, the function of the reversing
light switch must be tested depending on the assigned campaign scope, and for certain select vehicles,
the 7-speed manual transmission must be replaced and returned to Porsche AG for further analysis.
Please arrange for this measure to be carried out on the a ected vehicles immediately.

Important information:
Every vehicle is assigned just one campaign scope.
To nd out which scope is assigned to the vehicle, see PCSS Vehicle Information.
Scope 1: Check function of reversing light switch
Scopes 2 – 9: Check the reversing light switch function and replace the manual transmission
If the reversing light is not working on a vehicle that is only assigned to campaign scope 1 and the fault
analysis shows that the cause is actually damage to the transmission-side actuation of the reversing
light switch, the manual transmission must also be replaced on this vehicle.
If this is found to be the case, please contact ryan.cooney@porsche.us so that the vehicle can be
assigned to the new corresponding campaign scope for replacement of the transmission (scope 2-9)
and the replacement of the transmission can be invoiced accordingly.
