PLEASE FORWARD THIS INFORMATION TO YOUR RV SERVICE MANAGER.

Winnebago Industries is conducting a Field Service Campaign on certain 2013 Winnebago & Itasca motorhomes that
were built with the Schwintek In Wall Slideout System. There is an available upgrade to the slideout, which will
increase reliability of the system. This upgrade involves installing an improved control module as well as tube stops to
the interior of the slideout face trim.
Affected Vehicles and Owner Notification
Attached to this letter is a list of subject vehicles, which were shipped to your dealership. Customers with affected
vehicles are being sent a letter notifying them of the service campaign. These owners are being directed to contact a
Winnebago Industries dealer for the service campaign to be performed at no cost to them. A copy of the owner notice
is provided for your information.
Complete this upgrade on all subject vehicles currently in your inventory. Do not deliver any subject units to a
customer until this corrective action has been taken.

Service Campaign – Schwintek In Wall Slide Upgrade.

Repair Procedure:
Refer to instruction sheet.
Parts Information:
The part order should be placed as a service campaign order. You will need the campaign dealer number
and the Winnebago Industries serial number for the affected vehicle to place the order. The kit will include 6 tube
stops and the new lower amp module. You will use construction adhesive purchased locally to secure the tube
stops to the slideout trim.

Reimbursement:
When the service has been completed, submit a warranty claim using the operation number and TIC code
listed below. For coaches outside of warranty, use authorization number 01G0624T when filling your claim. Both the

Service Campaign: 63-07, Tube Stops
and Module Replacement
Procedure consists of removal of inside face
trim (Bulb seal) and installation of aluminum
tube to act as hard stop.
Parts Required: Tube stops from campaign
kit. Construction adhesive to be purchased
locally.

Procedure:
Bulb
Seal
1. Slideout should be in retracted position.
Remove inside vertical and top horizontal
face trim bulb seals and discard. Clean trim
face of tape residue.

2. Measure tubes to be installed on vertical
face trim. Cut to length and dry fit tubes.
Apply 1/4” bead of adhesive to aluminum
tube that will be installed on inside face trim.

3. Install tube on front and rear vertical face
trim making sure it is flush with outer edge of
trim. Clamp into place until adhesive sets
up. May need to remove excess adhesive.

4. Measure tubes to be installed on top face
horizontal trim. Cut to length and dry fit
tubes. Apply 1/4” bead of adhesive to
aluminum tube. Install tube on top face trim
and clamp in place, until adhesive sets up,
making sure it is flush with edge of face trim.

Control Module Update
The purpose is to improve slideout operation.
1. Locate & replace slideout control with updated
8 amp control from campaign kit.
(LCI # 326876).

Procedure to manually resynchronize
Schwintek InWall Slideout
1. Extend slideout. When one end of slideout contacts wall there will be delay and
then the side that needs to catch up will extend until it contacts wall.
2. Push “In” button, then “Extend” button to make sure slideout is fully extended.
3. Push ”In” button one second, then “Extend” button and hold until no noise is
heard. This should complete resynchronization.
