2016 KIA SKILL NATIONAL CUP WINNERS
Kia's 8th Skill National Cup competition was held at KMA Headquarters from March 29th thru April 1st, 2016. And for the first time
ever in Kia Skill National Cup experience, a single region - the Central Region - swept the National Cup sending all four of their
technicians to the Kia Skill World Cup (KSWC) competition. Amazingly, Central Region Techncians achieved the competition's highest
scores for the privilege to represent the United States during this years KSWC competition going on May 23rd thru May 27th, 2016 at
KMC Headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.
After every technician had been on stage, it was time to bring up the National
Cup finalists who would represent KMA at the Kia Skill World Cup in Korea.
One by one, World Cup finalists were called starting with Gregory Dubs in 4th
place. He was barely edged out by 3rd place winner Ben Hendricks. Jason
Powell claimed second place only 1-1/2 points behind 1st place winner Derek
Eveler. Every one of these four World Cup technicians walked on stage to
claim his prize, and forever earned their place on a World Cup plaque at every
KMA technical training center. Please join Kia University in congratulating

The 2016 Kia Skill National Cup competion brought the top twenty of Kia’s top North American technicians (including Canada), and
faced off in a grueling match that determined the top 4 master-level technicians from each of the company’s four regions Eastern,
Southern, Central, Western and four Kia Canada technicians.
