Condition

Some customers may comment on water dripping at the left or right side of the windshield
header/A-pillar area of the convertible top.

Cause

The cause of the condition may be due to a gap between the weatherstrip and the stop on
the windshield header.

Correction
Verify the condition and reposition the front
weatherstrip on the affected side by following the steps
in the Service Procedure below.

2. Remove the folding top number 1 bow garnish
molding. Refer to Folding Top Number 1 Bow
Garnish Molding Replacement in SI.

Service Procedure
Note: Adjustment of the front weatherstrip should only
be required on the affected side. Adjustment of both
sides should not be necessary.
1. Fully open the folding top.

3. Loosen the four outboard front weatherstrip
retainer screws on the affected side.

6. Retighten the four screws to hold the weatherstrip
in place.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 9 Y (80 lb in).

4. Pull the weatherstrip, stretching it to gain some
additional length in the corner.

7. Reinstall the folding top number 1 bow garnish
molding. Refer to Folding Top Number 1 Bow
Garnish Molding Replacement in SI.

5. Refit the corner until it lines up with the stitch line of
the top cover fabric.
