Summary
This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of a charging system alternator bracket malfunction: IC Bus CE Series. The malfunction is due to the use of a non-approved Dual Freon compressor sysstems installed by Bus air. This is an update to a previously submitted communication.

Issue
Symptom:
• Charging system alternator / Freon™ brackets are malfunctioning and can cause
cracking to initiate near cylinder head coolant thermostat housing.
Root Cause:
• Use of non-approved Dual Freon™ compressor system installed by Bus Air.
• Bus Air utilizes a non-approved bracket painted red. See Figure 1 below.
