Purpose
This document outlines the procedure to manually close the SureShade™ Power Bimini Top in the event the
top will not respond to a powered "close" command.

NOTE: Images used in this document are for reference only when assembling, installing and/or operating
this product. Actual appearance of provided and/or purchased parts and assemblies may differ.

Safety

Read and understand all instructions before installing or operating this product. Adhere to all safety labels.

Never attempt to operate the top or perform the manual override procedure while the boat
is in motion

Do not open Bimini top in excessively high winds. High winds could cause product damage, which
may result in personal injury.

Moving parts can pinch, cut or crush. Keep clear and use caution.
Resources Required

* 1-2 people, depending on task.
- ¥32" hex wrench (provided with models manufactured May 2020 and later)
+ Zip ties, hook-and-loop strips or rope

Procedure

If the Power Bimini Top will not close (retract) a manual override of the Power Bimini Top must be done before

storing, towing or operating the pontoon.

1. Unzip the front pocket of the Bimini canvas.

2. Have a second person push forward on the rear frame to relieve some pressure off the canvas and hold
up the rear and middle frames when the canvas is being unzipped.

3. Lower the rear frame assembly and canvas fully down (Fig. 1).

NOTE: Hex key will only be provided inside the actuator in models manufactured May 2020 and later.
4. Remove the end cap (Fig. 2A) from the motor-end of one of the actuators (Fig. 2B).

NOTE: A 942" hex wrench is stored inside the actuator assembly.
5. Remove the 5/32" hex wrench (Fig. 2C) stored inside the actuator.

6. Use the 5/32" hex wrench (Fig. 3A) to remove the two 1/4" hex cap screws (Fig. 3B) from the front
frame (Fig. 3C) on both actuators (Fig. 3D).

7. Lift the front frame (Fig. 4A) off of the port and starboard actuator gear handles (Fig. 4B).

8. Place the front frame assembly on top of the rear frame (Fig. 5).

9. Zip the front canvas pockets over the loose front frame to help hold it in-place.
NOTE: Canvas top not shown for clarity.

10. Secure the remainder of the front frame in place with zip ties, hook-and-loop strips or with some other
type of cordage.

11. Install protective boot over the frames and canvas.
NOTE: Maximum speed limit in the full down position with boot installed is 65 MPH.

NOTE: Maximum speed limit in the full down position without boot installed is 5 MPH.

12. Store the hex wrench, if provided, (Fig. 6A) inside the actuator.
13. Re-attach the end cap (Fig. 7A) to the actuator.
