Concern: Clutch oil leak from the clutch oil filter cover

Measure

Care Point: For any Work Package raised related to transmission, the Transmission
Form must be completed and attached to the relevant warranty claim.

If aleak from the clutch oil filter cover has been identified (as shown in the image
below), follow the steps included in this document before considering replacing any
parts.

Capture images of the area with the leak

Clean up and dry the transmission

Apply leak detector spray in the area that has previously leaked

Bring vehicle to operating temperature (test drive if necessary)

Inspect the transmission to confirm the source of the leak (if still present)
Capture new images of the leak

If the leak is confirmed that is from the cover, proceed to the next step. If no

further leaks have appeared no further action is required

If the leak continues, unscrew the 4 bolts to remove the cover

Clean the surface thoroughly to ensure is completely free of clutch oil
10. Check the condition of the O-ring and then check if there is porosity on the
clutch housing where the O-ring fits

= If the area is not porous, proceed to Step 14

= If the area is porous, proceed to Step 11

11. Apply a metal filler leaving an excess thickness for the sanding process - click here
for reference product

12. Allow the filler to dry completely as per the specific instructions of the product used
13. Sand the excess compound in 2 phases with different grit sizes, coarse and fine

14, Replace the O-ring and reassemble - the O-ring must be replaced each time the
clutch oil filter cover is removed

15, Apply Loctite 242 on the clutch oil filter bolts before assembly to seal possible
porosity inside the threaded holes as well

16. Once the above steps have been completed bring the vehicle to operating
temperature (test drive if necessary)

17. Inspect the transmission to confirm if the leak is still present

18. If the leak remains, submit a Technical Request and make reference to this MT|
