Measure

It has been reported that if a SiriusXM subscription is not activated on the vehicle a
message appears on the ADI screen which obstructs all media on screen controls.
The message will not disappear unless the user carries out ‘Erase All Data & Settings’
from the ADI screen menu or a SiriusXM subscription is activated.

Care Point: If after completing a “Erase All Data & Settings” SiriusXM is selected from
the media source list again, the message will re-appear”.

In order to activate the SXM subscription the Radio ID will be required. Normally the
Radio ID can be retrieved directly on the ADI screen by going to Channel 0 on SXM.
However, this is not possible on the current SW if no SXM subscription is active and
the dealer will need to retrieve the Radio ID via Diagnostics/MDS.

If the vehicle owner already has a SiriusXM subscription should be activated on the
vehicle as part of PDI/the handover to the customer.

If the vehicle owner does not have a SiriusXM subscription the retailer performing
the PDI must activate the 3-month free trial subscription which is available in the
North American market only.

In Canada, there is currently no free SiriusXM trial subscription available. Retailers in
the Canadian market are requested to purchase the minimum available paid
subscription which is 6 months. The cost of the 6 month Canadian SiriusXM
subscription is CAS34. The retailer can claim the cost for the 6-month subscription
via a Warranty claim by supplying the relevant evidence.

Care Point: The 6-month subscription in Canada will auto renew at the end of the 6-
month period. To avoid incurring further costs it should be actively cancelled prior to
its auto renewal. All terms and conditions are available in the SiriusXM website
during registration.

It should be noted that a new ADI software update is being created which will
eliminate the persisting ADI message which blocks the screen operation. The
estimated release time for this software is December 2019.

After installation of the new software, when a SiriusXM subscription is not activated
for the vehicle the message will not prevent the user from interacting with the ADI
screen, The customers can continue using their existing SiriusXxM subscriptions or
purchase a new one or allow it to lapse without ADI usability issues.

instructions are also available in the vehicle owner's manual under: ‘Central
Display/Settings/System’
