The On-Road season is going very well even if the COVID-19 situation delayed the start off a little. Here is some good information that you may want to be aware
of the 3WV family.

MY20 RT Noise reduction Improved Sprocket
My last blog was about a complaint that I'm sure you may receive complaints from RT owners. We are talking about that noise at 70-80km/h (45-50 mph) when
cruising. I've mentioned that our NVH team was working on a new sprocket and I shared the part number. The bad news is that the first batch received from the
supplier doesn't meet the engineering requirements. There is still some work to do on it and the goal is to have this new sprocket for the next production planned
next January. No worries, they will also be available as for the service part. Now the good news, I've contacted some dealers that installed the OLD RT belt idler
219800419 and they all confirmed that they get 80% noise reduction which is very acceptable at the customer level. I'd consider that as a temporary solution until
we have the new sprocket available. Of course, this will be covered under warranty if it is needed to satisfy a customer irritated. One thing to pay attention to is to
make sure that the idler wheel is perfectly aligned with the belt. As some of you remember, the 2020 RTs were supposed to have a belt idler but it was decided to
last minute remove it due to idler bearing reliability. The actual bearing may overheat if there is too much axial play due to bad alignment, keep that in mind.

RT-F3 Loose Mirrors
I lately updated an old TST about mirror vibration on F3 and RT. We do have now a new ball-stud available with revised tolerances and finish. This new ball-stud
can be identified with a hole at the as shown below.

Belt Saver on Ryker
The belt saver function is used to prevent the belt from slipping too long under certain conditions and getting damaged.
When the function detects the conditions, the engine torque is modulated to **bleep** the vehicle for the driver to take action.
The worst conditions are quite good when the vehicle starts (worse on hills) and when the vehicle is leaned against something, like a block of cement.
Above a certain speed (5km/h/ 3mph), the function is deactivated, even if you release the accelerator.
@Marc-Antoine did a good video showing the condition.

Scotch Grip.... again
I know this will probably get the attention of my good friend @RPM_Matt with that %$#@!!! ScotchGrip ... Last week we got an interesting case with an idling issue
that I wanted to share what we found. @RobZastrow and @joshf from CC POWERSPORTS KY did a pretty good job on that one. The unit was shutting down
randomly with no fault codes on a low miles MY20 RT. After some investigation, they found an excessive amount of scotch grip on the main ground wire. Simply
clean out the %$#@!!! ScotchGrip and all good after that.
