The presence of DME Faults P1C9500 – “Actuator (clutches) - deactivated with data trouble codes 009DF9 and

00A6FA, resulting in the instrument cluster warning “Transmission Failure – Park Vehicle Safely.” Other

diagnostic trouble codes are associated with fault P1C9500, therefore it is important to verify the existence of the

two aforementioned codes.

The electrical current powering the servomotor for the clutches must be -50.0 amps in the VAL as verified by

using the PIWIS Tester to check the VAL: VAL -> DME -> Measurements -> S030_Servo motor (clutches), actual

electric current, ‘-50.0A’
Technical Background

An initialization issue in the control unit for the servomotor causing this fault is resolved in a pending VR

software release.

Switch off ignition

Pull electric plug from the electronic transmission servo

motor (ETSM) -> ETSM is marked blue in Figure 1

Please wait 60 seconds

Put electric plug back on the ETSM

Turn ignition on

Please wait 60 seconds

Switch off ignition

Repeat Step 5-7

Clear fault memory
