 After switching on the ignition or after vehicle starts the following message appears in the instrument cluster
“Traffic sign detection: Malfunction”, after a few seconds the message disappears.
Workshop findings:
 The customer concern can be reproduced. No DTCs are logged.

Technical Background
An incorrect parametrization of the control module may cause this issue.

Production Solution
New Target Data Container (ZDC) update in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 0017)
addressed the condition.

1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 0017) using the SVM action code as listed
in the table below, if necessary:
