Summary
It has been determined that the tolerances on the side case mounting mechanism of the Powerpart 790 Adventure and Adventure R side cases are incorrect (p.n. 63512932000 - Touring case set). Due to these circumstances KTM
cannot guarantee a perfect fit of the side cases to the motorcycle. A repair kit for the mounting mechanism needs to be installed on both the left side and right side affected cases to prevent possible fitment issues.

INITIAL INFORMATION:
It has been determined that the tolerances on the side case mounting mechanism of the Powerpart 790
Adventure and Adventure R side cases are incorrect (p.n. 63512932000 - Touring case set). Due to
these circumstances KTM cannot guarantee a perfect fit of the side cases to the motorcycle. A repair
kit for the mounting mechanism needs to be installed on both the left side and right side affected cases
to prevent possible fitment issues.
Please contact your customers who have already purchased affected side cases to update them as
soon as possible. If you ordered side cases after 11/15/19 the update has already been completed.
1. The handle needs to be in the closed position.

PROCEDURE FOR REPAIR:
You will only need to order one side case set repair kit (p.n. 63512934044) for each touring case set.

2. Turn the case so you can see the mounting mechanism.
3. Postion the reinforcing plate from the repair kit on the mounting mechanism. Use the
reinforcement plate as a template to drill two holes with a 6 mm drill bit.

4. Insert the bolt into the drilled holes.

5. Open the case and install the washer and locking nut onto the bolt. (Torque 8 Nm)
6. Install the plastic nut caps.
7. Check the function of the case handle and its mounting on the motorcycle. It is also possible
the reinforcement plate will cause more friction in the locking mechanism and the handle will
open with a delay.
