Some customers may comment that it takes an extended time of cranking before their car
starts.
Condition
⇒ Some customers may state the issue occurs intermittently after sitting for at
least 20 minutes, it may take 3 seconds of crank time before the engine
starts.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the check valves stuck open in the front fuel feed pipe
and the fuel tank fuel pump module.
Correction
If the extended crank time has been verified, replace both the fuel feed front pipe (at
engine pump) and the fuel tank fuel pump module.

Note: Only select the parts that coincide with the repair
performed.
Use the latest part number listed in the Electronic Parts
Catalog (EPC) with the VIN filter on, when ordering a
fuel tank pump module kit.
