Summary
This bulletin details the special tooling & workshop equipment requirements for a Polestar Authorized
Service Point. Some of the tooling is unique to Polestar vehicles and some tools are shared with other
vehicles on the SPA and CMA platforms.
The special tooling is supplied directly by Polestar. An initial tooling order will be shipped automatically
to the service point. This will include all of the Polestar
unique special tooling and any newly released
shared tooling. It is the service point’s responsibility to make sure they have the existing shared tools
required.
The tooling and pricing shown in this bulletin covers the release of the Polestar 1 & Polestar 2 vehicles
for the initial set-up and roll-out of the Polestar brand in July 2020. This detailed pricing is only
applicable at the time of release of this bulletin and should be used as a guide only for cost planning.
This bulletin also details the general workshop equipment required. It is recommended that this is
purchased from Bosch Workshop Equipment however existing or equivalent sourced equipment is
acceptable if it matches the specification of the examples provided.
The tooling and equipment list’s for Polestar 1 & Polestar 2 are split into 5 sections. It is required
that each Polestar Authorized Service Point has all tooling and equipment from Section A, B and C.
Section D & E list recommended tooling and equipment for reference, the service point Is not required
to hold these.

Section C – Required general workshop equipment.
Section D – Recommended shared tooling with SPA & CMA Platform vehicles.
Section E – Recommended general workshop equipment.
In general, workshops that already service SPA and CMA platform vehicles will only require Section A.
New, standalone Polestar Authorized Service Points will require Section A, B & C.
Note: Some cables and adaptors for the Polestar 2 HV Battery load balancing will not be shipped in the
initial order. They will follow in September 2020. Pricing to be confirmed. A small batch of prototype
tools are available and should only be ordered if required for a vehicle repair before September. These
