12.
Remove the upper radiator support.
13.
Disconnect the transmission cooler lines as follows (on applicable vehicles only).
13.1 Place a container of at least 2-gallon (7.5- liter) capacity under the transmission oil cooler lines.
13.2 Thoroughly clean the area around the fitting.
13.3 Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator, and let them drain into the container.

Loosen the condenser and secure it as follows:
16.1 Remove the receiver-drier and upper A/C hose mounting nuts, then free the receiver-drier. See Fig. 8.

Unbolt the radiator from the lower mounts. See Fig. 11.

Using an appropriate lifting device, remove the radiator from the truck.
19.
Remove the lower radiator bracket.
Installation - Cooling System Components
1.
Install the lower radiator bracket, tighten the fasteners 40 lbf·ft (54 N·m).
2.
Install the radiator.
3.
Tighten the radiator mounting nuts 182 to 223 lbf·ft (247 to 302 N·m).
4.
Install the A/C condenser as follows:
4.1
Move the condenser into position and secure it temporarily. See Fig. 9.
4.2
Position the receiver-drier and upper A/C line on their respective brackets, and install the mounting
nuts. Tighten the nuts 14 to 16 lbf·ft (19 to 22 N·m).See Fig. 8.
4.3
Tighten the condenser mounting bolts 112 to 144 lbf·in (1266 to 1627 N·cm).
5.
Apply sealant 48-00094-141 to the threads of the fasteners; then install the fan. Tighten the fasteners
30 lbf·ft (41 N·m).
6.
Install the upper fan shroud. See Fig. 7.
7.
Install the upper radiator support.
8.
Install the surge tank.
9.
Connect the surge tank vent line. See Fig. 3.

Install the new hose clamp on the radiator inlet side to attach the upper radiator hose. See Fig. 12 and
Fig. 13 for DD13 and DD16 engines respectively.

Install the lower radiator hose. See Fig. 6.
12.
Reconnect the transmission oil cooler lines (on applicable vehicles only).
13.
Connect hood straps to the radiator.
14.
Install the CAC hoses. See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2.
15.
Fill the coolant in the cooling system.
16.
Install the bumper. For instructions, refer to Section 31.02, Subject 100 of the New Cascadia Workshop
Manual.
17.
Fill the transmission fluid as required.
18.
Clean a spot on the base label (Form WAR259) and attach a campaign completion sticker for SF607
(Form WAR261) indicating this work has been completed.
