ATTENTION SLINGSHOT PARTS / SERVICE / SALES MANAGERS:

We have identified your dealership as taking delivery of one or more Slingshot units that
has a right turn signal that doesn’t display the turn signal on the gauge. See the Service
Procedure on the next page for a process to resolve this issue.
If your dealership has sold an affected unit to a customer, please contact the customer
and make arrangements to get the vehicle serviced.

Small needle nose plyers
Small flat blade screwdriver
Black electrical tape
T40 T handle
Scissors

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Lift hood to access fuse panel. Remove the
5 amp Speedo fuse ① from the fuse panel.

2. Release the steering wheel tilt lever.
3. Remove three screws ② from lower
steering column fixture & remove.

5. Slide display assembly ③ up as shown to
access the Tach and Speedo electrical
connections behind the display.
NOTE: You may need to push gently
upward on the dash.

6. Unplug the Tach ⑤ and Speedo ④
connectors from display.

4. Align steering wheel to center position.
NOTE: The Speedometer connector
harness should be labeled “Speedo” on a
white label.

7. With a scissors, carefully cut the electrical
tape between the two branches moving
down to where the harness leads intersect.

Remove the tape on the Tach branch only to
expose wires.
NOTE: Do not un-tape the Speedo branch.

11. On the Tach connector: Using a small flat
head screwdriver, carefully lift the top and
bottom plastic clip of pin 6 (blue/pink wire).
Once both the top and bottom plastic clips
are free from the wire, gently push the pin
out of the connector.

12. Untangle pin 6 (blue/pink wire) and re-route
along Speedo branch. Push pin 6 into
Speedo pin 6 location.

8. Using a small screwdriver, open both Tach
and Speedo connector hoods.
9. Remove the end caps off both connectors
by pressing the white tabs on each edge of
the pin cover.

13. Push plug into Tach pin 6 position. Pull
slightly on the newly installed wire to be sure
it is seated properly.
NOTE: Be careful not to push the pin in too
far without the connector cap installed.

10. On the Speedo connector: Remove the plug
out of speedo pin 6 position.

14. Reinstall connector caps.

15. Re-tape Tach branch. Gently remove
‘Speedo’ label and Over tape speedo
branch.
NOTE: Start at speedo connector, work
back to breakout and up to intersect about
2” then back down the Tach branch to Tach
connector, taping over existing tape and
blue/pink wire.

16. Replace identifying tag to the Speedo
branch.
17. Connect both the Tach and Speedo
connectors to display.

18. Position display back to original location.
19. Install three screws ① to lower steering
column fixture.

20. Replace the 5 amp Speedo fuse to the fuse
panel. Turn the engine key on and test
function of blinkers on display.
