IMPORTANT: 2008-2015 Victory Vision Stage 1 VECI Decal Update (CA Models ONLY)
The Victory Motorcycle Division of Polaris Industries Inc. has determined that certain California Air Resource Board
(CARB) certified Victory Vision models, equipped with approved Stage 1 accessory exhaust, must have the Stage 1
Certification decal updated. The new decal will ensure that the emission certification information displayed on the decal
aligns with CARB requirements for Stage 1 equipped motorcycles.
Victory has issued an updated Stage 1 Certification decal and consumer letter outlining decal application to owners of
affected Victory Vision models.
As stated in the attached letter, if a consumer is not able to apply the updated decal or needs help affixing the decal to the
motorcycle, they have been instructed to contact any authorized Victory Motorcycle dealer for assistance.
Decal application instructions can be found below.

AFFECTED MODELS
All 2008-2015 Victory Vision models, designated for sale in California, and equipped with a Stage 1 accessory exhaust kit.

DECAL APPLICATION:
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to remove the existing
Stage 1 Certification decal or damage to the saddlebag
may occur. Apply the new decal over the existing Stage 1
decal following the instructions below.
1. Locate the existing Stage 1 decal in the left side
saddlebag lid. See FIGURE 1.
NOTE: Location of the original Stage 1 decal
may vary.
2. Clean the surface where the decal will be applied
with denatured alcohol and a clean, lint-free cloth.
3. Peel the adhesive backing off the new decal.
NOTE: Do not touch the adhesive surface.
4. Carefully apply the new decal directly over the top
of the existing decal, working from one end
toward the other. See FIGURE 1.
5. Press the entire surface of the new decal firmly
into position, ensuring there are no air bubbles
trapped beneath the new decal.
6. Locate the Vehicle Emission Control Information
(VECI) decal and, if present, remove the +TWC
section of the decal. See FIGURE 2.
NOTE: Only remove the small +TWC decal
from the top of the VECI decal. DO NOT
remove the entire VECI decal.

PLEASE READ IMMEDIATELY

Dear Victory Owner:
The Victory Motorcycle Division of Polaris Industries Inc. has determined that certain California Air Resource Board
(CARB) certified Victory Vision models, equipped with an approved Stage 1 accessory exhaust, must have the Stage 1
emission decal updated. Our records indicate you have an affected motorcycle. The new decal, supplied with this letter,
will ensure that the emission certification information displayed on the decal aligns with CARB requirements for Stage 1
equipped motorcycles.
What you should do:
You or an authorized Victory dealer must install the decal on the motorcycle according to the attached instructions. If you
choose to install the decal yourself, please read and follow the instructions provided on the back side of this letter. DO
NOT attempt to remove the existing decal or damage to the saddlebag may occur. If you install the label yourself it
is not necessary to contact your dealer; no further action is required.
If you choose to have the decal installed by a Victory dealer, please call to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Be sure to retain the new decal included with this letter and provide it to the dealer for them to install.
What Victory and your dealer will do:
Victory has issued a field communication (Voice of Victory V-15-07-02) to all Victory dealers with instructions on how to
install the new Stage 1 decal over the existing decal. Any authorized Victory motorcycle dealer can install the decal at no
cost to you. NOTE: Your dealer will not have a new decal; if you choose to have the decal installed by your dealer, please
provide the decal enclosed with this letter to your dealer for application.

This notice was mailed to you according to our most current registration information. If you no longer own your Victory
motorcycle, please contact your local Victory dealer to have the ownership information updated. The Victory Consumer
Service Department cannot change ownership information without identification.
