Overview

Due to insufficient sealing It is possible that moisture may penetrate into the adaptive engine mounts (PADM),
e.g. due to splash water when driving on wet roads.
This can result in an electrical fault in the control system of the adaptive engine mounts. If this happens, the

engine mount will act like a conventional mount and a corresponding warning message will be displayed in the
instrument cluster.

To prevent this from happening, the engine mounts must be replaced with mounts with optimal sealing.

Furthermore, cover caps must be retrofitted to the engine mounts to additionally protect the mounts from
splash water.
