Panoramic sunroof frame

Symptom:

Water leak in the front interior light/roof console area.

Cause:

Drops of water can get onto the guide rails for the sunroof and leak out in the interior light/roof console
area.

Remedial
Action:

Rework guide rails for panoramic sunroof.

Open the sliding roof half way.
Remove roof assembly, see  Workshop Manual '600619 Removing and installing roof assembly'.

Reworking panoramic sunroof
Work Procedure: 1

Remove inner seal on the air deflector.

Press the air deflector down and secure it with adhesive tape.

Remove grease from guide rail  Guide rail -1-.

Apply adhesive bead  Adhesive bead 1 -1- of
window bonding agent from front to rear.

Apply adhesive bead  Adhesive bead 2 -2- of
window bonding agent from front to rear.

Clean the guide rail to remove any excess adhesive
residue.

Information
Leave the sealing compound to dry for at least 1 hour
before starting assembly.

Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the left side (apply adhesive
the opposite way around).

Remove adhesive tape from air deflector.

Install inner seal on the air deflector.

Close sliding roof.
