Customer states:
 Brief (less than two seconds) sudden increase in the engine speed.
 When the concern occurs, the selected gear is briefly (less than two seconds) not shown in the driver
information system (DIS). This may appear as follows:
a. Instead of D or S showing the display will be blank.
b. Of M1 or M2 only the M will appear.
Workshop findings:
 There are no faults stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001) or the transmission
control module (TCM), J743 (address word 0002).
 There are no oil leaks from the transmission.
 Duplication of the concern may not be possible as it is very intermittent.

Technical Background
The transmission control module software needs to be updated.
