Background Information
Internal investigations have identified the need to check the 30A fuse and fuse holder (located on the
starter motor solenoid) and, if necessary, clean and fill the fuse holder with grease and fit a new fuse as
described in the procedure below.

Motorcycles in the affected VIN range must be modified prior to delivery to the customer, or at the next
visit to the dealership.

Before returning the motorcycle to the customer, download the latest calibration using the current version
of the Triumph diagnostic software to the following:
• Engine electronic control module
• Chassis electronic control module (if fitted)
• Keyless electronic control module (if fitted)
• Suspension electronic control module (if fitted)
• Connectivity module (if fitted)
• Instruments (if applicable).

30A Fuse Holder Clean and Grease

Remove the following components as described in the Service Manual:
• Rider's seat
• Battery
Detach the starter motor solenoid from the base of the rear mudguard.
Remove the cover from the starter motor solenoid.

Remove the 30A fuse.
Check the fuse and the fuse holder for damage and the fuse holder for grease.

Clean out the fuse holder and fill the fuse holder with grease (Castrol LCX 222 or equivalent).

Check the 30A fuse for damage, replace if necessary.
Fit the 30A fuse.
Fit the cover to the starter motor solenoid.
Fit the starter motor solenoid to the base of the rear mudguard.
Fit the following components as described in the Service Manual:
