Summary
TSB: Some 2019 ? 2020 model year UX 250 Hybrid
vehicles may experience a difficult-to-start condition accompanied by a hybrid system warning lamp occurring during below-freezing temperatures (< 32°F). This condition may occur at start-up after a short-distance drive. After performing a Health Check, the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) U011087 and U029387 may be present. These codes are because of the IGCT (90987-02025) relay not being able to supply power to HV ECU. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

Introduction
Some 2019 – 2020 model year UX 250 Hybrid vehicles may experience a difficult-to-start condition
accompanied by a hybrid system warning lamp occurring during below-freezing temperatures
(< 32°F). This condition may occur at start-up after a short-distance drive.
After performing a Health Check, the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) U011087 and U029387
may be present. These codes are because of the IGCT (90987-02025) relay not being able to
supply power to HV ECU. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

Repair Procedure
1. Confirm the condition exists.
The vehicle may “Ready on” with no issues. This issue occurs only in below-freezing
temperatures (< 32°F). Using Techstream, perform a Health Check.
Are DTCs U011087 and U029387 present?
YES — Continue to step 2.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.
2. Replace the IGCT relay with the NEW part number.
Refer to TIS, applicable model and model year Repair Manual:
2019 – 2020 UX 250h:

3. Clear DTCs and confirm the condition is no longer present.
