13L VGT Engines
Introduction
Mack Trucks has determined that certain 13L VGT Engine may have been equipped with a
compromised coolant drain line. Failure of this coolant drain line would result in an excessive
loss of engine coolant. To address this issue the coolant drain line is to be removed and cappedoff. Follow the instructions outline in this service campaign.

Repair Procedure
1. Refer to IMPACT document ID, 2932-03-02-01 for instructions on removing EGR Cooler.
2. With EGR Cooler removed, disconnect coolant line from oil cooler and scrap part.
3. Install plug (P/N 960632) with crush washer (P/N 977935) in place of the coolant drain line.
Tightening torque
Oil Cooler, Plug
60 Nm
4. Reinstall EGR Cooler per Impact instructions.
5. Check for coolant leaks.
