DESCRIPTION

On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, air inlet manifold preheater electrical terminals have to be tightened

and recovered with rust protector.
PROCEDURE
DANGER

Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition

switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button.

Lock out & Tag out (LOTO) must be performed during set-up, maintenance or repair activities. Refer to

your local procedure for detailed information regarding the control of hazardous energy.

1. On the dashboard, turn the ignition to the ‘’OFF’’

position.

2. Into the rear electrical compartment, turn the

main electrical switch to the ‘’OFF’’ position.

3. Into the rear junction box, trip breakers CB2 and

CB6.

4. Open the engine door and locate the air inlet

manifold preheater terminals.

5. If the terminals are tightened and cover with rust

protector ’Color Guard’’ no 684013, the bulletin

is complete, unless move to next step.

6. Check if the components are in good condition.

If necessary, replace parts with damage.
NOTE

If necessary, refer to IMPACT for the preheater

replacement procedure.

7. Tighten the terminals to a torque value of 108 lbin.

8. Cover the terminals with protector ‘’Color

Guard’’ no 684013.

9. Into the rear junction box, reset breakers CB2

and CB6. Push red levers.

10. Into the rear electrical compartment, turn the

main electrical switch to the ‘’ON’’ position.

11. The bulletin is complete.
