Introduction
Some 2014 – 2020 model year IS350, 2016 – 2017 model year IS200t, and 2018 – 2020 model
year IS300 may exhibit a squeal/squeak noise from the front brake pads. This is only applicable on
2WD F Sport vehicles. This condition may be present at city, highway, and/or parking lot speeds.
For customers who find this characteristic objectionable, an updated front brake pad kit and shim
kit are available.

YES — Continue to substep B.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable

B. Is the vehicle a 2WD F Sport model?
YES — Continue to substep C.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.
C. Are the brake pads BELOW the minimum specification of 1 mm?
YES — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable
Repair Manual.
NO — Continue to step 2.

2. Replace the front brake pad kit, shim kit, and discs.
A. Remove the front brake pad kits.
