Read this entire procedure before beginning work.
Use Safe Shop Practices at All Times.
To avoid personal injury:
a. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn. Safety glasses and
protective gloves are required for working with DEF Fluid.
b. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
c. Ensure that both the front and the rear wheels are chocked.
d. Position the ENGINE RUN and ENGINE START switches on the engine
compartment remote control box to the OFF position.
e. Allow enough time for components to cool down prior to working in the engine
compartment.

Procedure

Installing an isolator
Open the fuel tank access door and remove the four bolts securing the fuel compartment
door. Save the bolts, lock washers, and adjustment plates to use later.

Remove and save the four bolts and washers securing the strap assembly.
Remove and save the

Place the fuel tank isolator, MCI P/N: 16-06-1260, between the strap assembly and fuel
tank. Make sure to center the isolator.
Place the isolator between
the fuel tank and the strap
assembly
Secure the strap assembly using existing bolts and washers.

Installing a stopper bracket
Using a 9/32 drill bit, drill two .281” dia holes on the fuel tank compartment skirt rail tube
at the location shown below.

Peel off the backing paper on the insulator, MCI P/N: 09-06-1422, and install it on the fuel
tank stop bracket, MCI P/N: 09-06-1421.
Install the insulator, MCI P/N:
09-06-1422, on the stop

Install the modified stop bracket to the fuel tank compartment skirt rail at the location of
the previously drilled holes using screws, MCI P/N: 19-1-529.

Re-install the door using existing bolts, lock washers, and adjustment plates.
