Electric Cargo Door lock actuator jams and prevents door from
opening. If the compartment does not have another access from
behind the compartment, only entry is by drilling out the door handle.

• Cordless Drill/Driver
• Philips Bit #1
• Square Bit #2

Step 1
Use a square bit to remove (3) tek screws and loosen
(1) tek screw in the plastic cover to allow access to the
locking mechanism.

Step 4
Remove the handle bracket with the actuator and
disconnect the actuator from the power cable.

Step 2
Use a Philips bit
to remove the (3)
pan head screws
holding the handle
to the bracket.

Step 5
If necessary, re-install a Z-bent rod in the handle as shown.

Step 3
Use a square bit to remove (2) tek screws holding the
handle bracket to the rotary latch mount bracket.

Step 6
Slide the new handle bracket with the new actuator
under the back skin and attach the new power actuator
to the Z-bent rod as shown.
NOTE: Make sure the end of the actuator is orientated vertically
as shown below by the red arrow. The picture on the left is the
incorrect orientation.

Step 9
Use a Philips bit
to install (3) pan
head screws while
holding the handle
to the bracket.

Step 10
Connect the new actuator to the power supply. The internal
wire color will vary depending on the age of the unit.

Verify that the wire is
not trapped under the
handle bracket.

Wire Harness: Brown or Green
Wire Harness: White, Yellow or Blue

Lock and unlock the baggage door to make sure the
door locks and unlocks correctly. If the door locks in the
unlocked position, switch the actuator wires connected to
the internal wire.

Step 8
Use a square bit to install (2) tek screws while holding
the handle bracket to the rotary latch mount bracket.

Step 11
Use a square bit
to install (3) tek
screws into the
plastic cover that
allows access
to the locking
mechanism.
