The cruise control may be inoperative after installing CECU software version P30-1030-118.
Chassis Affected
T170, T270, and T370 that receive the P30-1030-118 software update. Chassis built with the P30-1030-118 after 01/20/2020 are not affected.
Action
Fix-As-Fail
If it is necessary to install P30-1020-118 into an affected chassis, first check WebECAT to determine whether the installation may affect cruise control
feature (see Procedure below).
This bulletin will be updated when a software update correcting the cruise control issue is available.
Warranty
Through Standard Warranty or any applicable active Extended Warranty, Kenworth
will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:
1.4 hrs. labor to install the pressure sensor (003-055), update the ESA parameter (045-066), verify the CC input (045-XXX), and test drive to
verify cruise control operation (003-XXX). File a long form claim.

Check WebECAT to determine whether P30-1030-118 software may affect the vehicle’s cruise
control

In WebECAT, search for “application pressure.”
If the result is shows AIR APPLICATION GAUGE – DISABLED, then there is a high likelihood that the procedure below will resolve the
issue. Continue to the repair procedure below.
If the result is AIR APPLICATION GAUGE – ENABLED, then this bulletin is not applicable. Continue with normal troubleshooting.

Locate the Service Brake Pressure switch behind the dash. Refer to the attached Reference Drawing.
Identify the tee fitting in the service brake application pressure switch and install the appropriate air pressure sensor in the available port in the
tee fitting adjacent to the service brake switch.
Locate connector J026 of the Instrument Panel harness, and connect to the Air Pressure Sensor. The connector is circled in Reference page 7
of P94-1908.
Connect to the vehicle with ESA Diagnostic Tool, and set parameter Brake Applied Pressure Sensor Installed = ENABLED.
Disconnect from ESA.
Verify Cruise Control functionality has returned to desired level and that Drive Display messaging for Cruise rationality validation is normal.
a. Connect to Engine ECM with Cummins INSITE.
With the Vehicle Park Brake engaged, turn Cruise Control Switch to ON, and verify ECM identifies CC=ON.
Disengage the Vehicle Park Brake and verify CC remains =ON.
b. Disconnect from INSITE.
Test Drive to validate Cruise Control Set/Resume functionality.
