Our records indicate that a PRODUCT UPDATE has not been completed on this vehicle; refer to the address card
for the affected VIN. On 2017–18 CR-V vehicles equipped with the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine, there are reports
of vehicles experiencing drivability concerns. These concerns can result in the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)
turning on. If the MIL is illuminated, your vehicle may fail a state or local emissions inspection.
What will Honda do?
Please call any authorized Honda dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle’s software and A/C control
unit software updated for FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, Please plan to leave your vehicle
at the dealer for at least a day. However, your dealer can provide you with a better estimate of the overall time for
this service visit, as it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for a longer period of time. If you are not the
only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers and passengers of this important information.
