As part of our ongoing quality improvement e orts the Engine Control Module (ECM) part number 12703874 will be
placed on a parts restriction through the Product Quality Center (PQC).

Cause:

This parts restriction will assist Engineering with product feedback.

Correction
Please contact the Product Quality Center (PQC) by opening a new case via Dealer Case Management (DCM) From the DCM home page, click on “New
PQC Case” found on the Technical Assistance tab.
Then in Global Connect click on the Support/Chat tab, TAC-PQC Tab, PQC -Parts Restrictions Templates to Download the appropriate PQC -Parts
Restrictions Template and save a copy to your computer, You can attach a copy of the template to your PQC Case.
Note: (Do Not clear any DTCs prior to contacting the PQC).

If the ECM has set a P0606 or a P16F3, refer to the appropriate service diagnostic ow chart (trouble tree).

• If P0700 is present in the ECM, it should NOT be necessary to replace the ECM. The P0700 DTC is caused by a concern from the TCM and should be
accompanied by another DTC. Please refer to the appropriate trouble tree for the DTC that accompanied the ECM set P0700.
• If P00FF is present in the ECM it should be accompanied by another DTC in the BCM. Please refer to the appropriate trouble tree for the DTC that
accompanied the ECM P00FF.
• If P25A2 is present in the ECM it should be accompanied by another DTC in the EBCM. Please refer to the appropriate trouble tree for the DTC that
accompanied the ECM P25A2.

List any loose grounds/connections encountered, and reference the speci c power and ground schematic.

Have the connector terminals been checked for “backed out” or “damage” at the ECM and sensor based on the DTC. (Y/N)

If yes, was programming interrupted at any point? (Y/N)
