SERVICE INFORMATION
The oil fill volume for the VR30DDTT engine has increased by 0.5 quarts (0.5 liters).
When replacing a VR30DDTT short block or long block in an applied vehicle for any reason, replace the
dipstick with the part listed in PARTS INFORMATION on the next page. The length of the new dipstick is
shorter so that it can accurately measure the new oil fill volume.

If the overall length of the dipstick is
approximately 25 inches (63.5 cm),
replace the dipstick with the one listed
in PARTS INFORMATION on the next
page.
The overall length of the new dipstick is
approximately 24 ¼ inches (62 cm).
The new dipstick reflects an increase in
oil fill volume by 0.5 quarts (0.5 liters).
