Summary
WARRANTY BULLETIN W144: AUDIO SYSTEM WARRANTY PROCEDURES. PURPOSE: This bulletin provides warranty procedures to support the Advanced Audio System, Boom!â¢, Boom! Box Infotainment System and Boom! Box GTS System. It contains information for both OE (Original Equipment) and accessory components. This bulletin replaces warranty bulletins W132 and W139. The components will be processed through United Radio.

This bulletin provides warranty procedures to support the
Advanced Audio System, Boom!™, Boom! Box Infotainment
System and Boom! Box GTS System. It contains information
for both OE (Original Equipment) and accessory components.
7.
Return the malfunctioning component with a properly
completed Return Authorization Form to United Radio.
This bulletin replaces warranty bulletins W132 and W139. The
components will be processed through United Radio.
A Return Authorization Form and prepaid return shipping label
are provided with the replacement unit. Follow this procedure
to ensure timely warranty credit.
Markets Affected
Follow the normal warranty process in the online Warranty
Manual for:
All markets are affected.
• All remaining components used on 2014 and later models.
Software Updates
Updating software is typically not covered under warranty. It is
not necessary to update the software if the audio system is
functioning correctly.
Periodic software updates will be available and can be
downloaded at no charge and installed by either a customer or
dealership technician. Software downloads and installation
procedures can be found at:
• Audio components sold through P&A that are not listed in
Table 2, as in speakers and helmet headsets
Return these items once a warranty claim is filed and a call-back
label is issued.
Ordering Warranty Replacement
Components
All Markets: To order warranty replacement components listed
in Table 2 through United Radio, log in to:

Part Replacement and Return Procedures
The components listed in Table 2 require unique warranty and
handling procedures. The parts require:
1.
Inform customer that each component needing repair will
be replaced with a refurbished component.
2.
If encountering an issue with a wire harness, attempt to
repair it. If repair is not an option, contact Technical Service.
NOTE

was not found during the pre-delivery inspection, refer to the

When filing the warranty claim, use a MC (Motorcycle that has
been registered) or Standard Claim for all OE components
listed in Table 2. If the vehicle has not been retailed, use a PRD
(Pre-Delivery) or PDI Claim.
Returning Malfunctioning Components
Use a PNA or Standard Claim for warranty claims in which the
component from Table 2 is registered to the VIN on the SWR
(Service Warranty Registration).
All malfunctioning components must be returned to United
Radio within 30 d (North America) or 45 d (International
