SUBJECT:
Water Leak At Lower Center Of Windshield
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inspecting for leaks at lower center of the windshield and sealing if necessary.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries: North
America, APAC, EMEA and LATAM.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after July 01, 2019 (MDH 0701XX) and on
or before July 05, 2019 (MDH 0705XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may comment on the following:
• Water leaking or wind noise coming from the lower center of the windshield.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the Diagnosis/inspection . This
RRT only applies to vehicles on the RRT VIN list.
1. Apply soapy water into the molding gap at the bottom center windshield glass (Fig. 1) .

2. Apply compressed air to the center lower windshield molding gap (Fig. 2) .

3. Look for signs of water or bubbles on the dash top. Use masking tape to isolate area (Fig. 3) .

4. Is either water or bubbles found?
• YES >>> Proceed to Step 1 of the Repair Procedure.
• NO >>> This bulletin has been completed, use inspect LOP (23-30-50-9C) to close the
active RRT.

Silicone Windshield and Glass Sealer

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Dry the area using compressed air and towels.
2. Obtain Mopar Silicone Windshield & Glass Sealer 04467708.

3. Mask the dash to prevent excess material contacting the interior (Fig. 4) .

4. Apply a generous amount of sealer to the area between the glass and windshield frame. Follow
product guidelines for curing (Fig. 4) .
5. Re-test the area after the silicone has dried per the manufactures specified dry time.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
