Complaint:
Steering lock does not disengage, vehicle cannot be started.
Cause:
The pin of the electronic steering lock wedges in the retaining ring of the steering column. The steering is stressed
and the electronic steering lock does not open so the key cannot be turned.
Remedy:
1.
Replacement of steering column with electronic steering lock (ELV) (AR46.10-D-7300C and AR46.10-D-0910A).
2.
Replacement of electronic ignition lock (EZS), only up to hardware version 33/08 (33rd week 2008) (AR80.57D-1000A).
