The following fault is stored in the engine control unit:
FC 3805 => Pressure differential between oil pressure sensors 1 and 2
Cause:
Transition resistances in various Z-connector sleeves in the engine wiring harness
Remedy:
Note for vehicles up to engine number # 003360:
Refer to and, if necessary, follow the TIPS documents already published (design group 54.18)
Remedy for vehicles up to engine number # 001596:
1. Remove intake manifold
2. Solder together four Z-connector sleeves (see drawing in attachment; for orientation, item A is the passage in the
bulkhead)
Remedy for vehicles as of engine number # 001597 up to engine number #7313:
1. Remove intake manifold
2. Install repair wiring harness between ME-SFI control unit and the two oil pressure sensors
2a. Open the insulation on the engine wiring harness (approx. 10 cm before the ME-SFI control unit).
- Additionally solder the two pink/black cables from the repair kit to the pink/black cable from the ME-SFI control
unit (pin 44). (The original connection must remain intact.)
- Additionally solder the two brown/green cables from the repair kit to the brown/green cable from the ME-SFI
control unit (pin 16). (The original connection must remain intact.)
- Cut the gray/blue cable from the ME-SFI control unit (pin 87) off the original engine wiring harness and solder
to the gray/blue cable from the repair kit. Tie back the original line from the sensor.

- Cut the yellow/green cable from the ME-SFI control unit (pin 90) off the original engine wiring harness and solder to the yellow/green cable from the repair kit. Tie back the original line from the sensor.
2b. Attach the two connectors from the repair wiring harness to the two oil pressure sensors.
3. Check oil pressure in Xentry with engine off.
If the oil pressure difference between the two sensors is greater than 0.15 bar, the two oil pressure sensors must
be replaced.
