Complaint:

With the Drive Kit Plus (N123/7), the following error messages may occur when using the Car-to-X function:
1.) The server is currently unavailable
2.) Car-to-X is unavailable
The error messages may appear when the driver wishes to report a hazard manually and heightened security rules
have been activated in the system.

Cause:
Re. 1.)

- Data communication is intermittently disrupted due to the network connection
- The connection to the server has not yet been fully established
- The server is currently unavailable
Re. 2.) The prerequisites for the use of Car-To-X have not been met:
a.) The software version of the iPhone app is not the required release
b.) The software version of the Drive Kit Plus (N123/7) is not the required release
c.) The serial number of the Drive Kit Plus control unit (N123/7) is not recorded in VeDoc

Remedy:
Re. 1.)

Because of external network issues, the Car-to-X function becomes operational again at a later time. Do not replace
any parts.
Re. 2.) Satisfy the prerequisites for the use of Car-To-X:

a.) Update software of iPhone app to at least version 1.6 or higher. This update is usually performed on the iPhone by
the customer
b.) Update software of Drive Kit Plus control unit (N123/7) to software release E120.3 or higher.
Notes on procedure/downloading software for Drive Kit Plus control unit:
- A special tool is required for the software update. Please refer to the parts notes.
- Instructions and the software for performing the update can be found in STAR TekInfo under the following menu
item:
Telematics > Media Interface
- Install the software on the USB stick as described in the instructions (STAR TekInfo) and flash to the Drive Kit Plus
control unit using the special tool.
c.) Record serial number in VeDoc. To do this, use Xentry (release 11/13 or later) to perform initial startup of the Drive
Kit Plus control unit (N123/7).
