Overview
Due to a mix up in the allocation in the DME so ware, if there is a fault in the oxygen sensor on one cylinder bank, the fault
code for the oxygen sensor on the other cylinder bank will be stored in the fault memory.
As a result, replacing the relevant oxygen sensor will not correct the stored fault and this may result in repeat repairs.
To correct the allocation error, the DME control unit must be re-programmed using an new data record. On vehicles with
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the PDK control unit is also re-programmed with a corresponding data record.
Please arrange for this measure to be carried out the next time the a ected vehicles come into the workshop.

If other programming campaigns that a ect the same control unit and involve the identical procedure are open for a
vehicle in addition to this campaign, the a ected control unit must only be programmed once using the current PIWIS
Tester test so ware.
Please proceed as follows for the campaigns that have not been carried out:
Mark the campaign as 'cannot be carried out' with the reason "Modi cation of the a ected component" in PQIS. The
“Warranty relevance” ag must be activated in order to be able to set a warranty claim and close the campaign.
A warranty claim must be submitted for the campaign in which 0 TU is entered as the speci ed working time and no
parts are entered for Scope "Z" in PQIS/PCSS.
