** SOLUTION **
Cause

For certain vehicles produced for model year 2018 and newer, the hood latch cable for
the passenger side latch may be routed around a corner of the air box. This can cause the
cable to bind when the hood release is pulled, and may lead to premature failure of the
cable.

Solution

For vehicles affected by this issue, the corner of the air box will need to be modified:
Using an appropriate tool, cut the corner off of the air box. This will allow the cable to
straighten out and prevent fatigue. A diagram with approximate dimensions can be found
below. The blue section is the portion that will be trimmed off:
