Description: This bulletin provides information on the inspection and service guide of steering wheel
replacement for all Hyundai models.
Applicable Vehicles: All Hyundai models.

Follow the tables below as a guide for repairing quality issues with steering wheels and
for determining if the repair is warrantable.
Normal warranty applies.

Inspect the peeling area.
Cause 1: Physical peeling (Case 1)
Peeling by tool, nail (rough surface).
Cause 2: Chemical peeling (Case 2)
Remove any contamination by cleaning with
a leather cleaner or a wet tissue. Refer to
TSB# 14-BD-001 for detailed cleaning
procedures. If the surface is smooth, this is
a chemical peel.

③ Inspect the BCM/controller.
④ Check for short circuits of clock spring.

detailed inspection/measurement results on R.O.
Inspection method:
Measure the resistance of heating wire/NTC. After
measuring the connector resistance, compare it with
the specified resistance in the applicable shop
manual.
