** SOLUTION **
Cause
Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC ) P1058-18 And P1058-17 may appear on a DTC
Readout with timestamps and occurences indicating that both codes set, on or about, the
same time.
Solution
It is not possible for a circuit below voltage and a circuit above voltage code to set
simultaneously. Fault tracing in Guided Diagnostics will lead to No Fault Found ( NFF )
unless one of the codes is active. If both codes are logged on or about same time with a
similar number of multiple occurrences, just replace the internal (pass through) harness.
If, while replacing the harness, you find other mechanical issues with the gearbox, they
will need to be addressed as well. A more robust internal (pass through) harness is being
developed at this time. The current PN (21911586) will supesede in IMPACT when the
new harness becomes available.
NOTE: If fault code P10AE81 is logged along with as P105817/18, review CBR: K6455
4358.
Internal comments (BO)
There is an active QJ for this issue and the supplier WABCO has identified issues with
previously NFF harnesses. Replacing the harness keeps the fault from recurring. If left
unresolved it can lead to a driveability complaint from the driver. The QJ information
says that the AMT-D is not having this issue but that analysis was done from Qlikview
and these faults did not enter the TGW filter until the US17 product launch. If there is
evidence of these faults occuring on AMT-D product please forward the information to
Steven Talmadge in HAG.
New harness PN XXXXXXXXX is scheduled for SOP W19XX and avail in AM
W19XX.
