SYMPTOM
The adaptive cruise control (ACC) turns off unexpectedly while it is in use, and the Collision Mitigation Braking
System Problem. See Your Dealer. message appears on the MID.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
The PGM-FI software cancels the ACC when a conflicting stop-and-go signal is detected in the software at the same
time.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Diagnose the vehicle and, if directed by the results, update the PGM-FI software.

DIAGNOSIS
Make sure all of these conditions are met before doing the repair:
•
The ACC was in use when the problem occurred.
•
The ACC cannot be set within the same drive-cycle.
•
The Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem. See Your Dealer. message appears on the MID.
•
After cycling the ignition, the ACC works and the MID message goes away.
•
An all DTC check only shows DTC U0401-92 (temporary stop of integrated driver support system).
If all of the conditions are met, make sure the PGM-FI software has the latest program ID.
Does the PGM-FI software have the latest program ID?
Yes - This bulletin does not apply; continue with normal system troubleshooting.
No - Go to REPAIR PROCEDURE to update the PGM-FI software.
NOTE
If other DTCs are set, diagnose them before addressing DTC U0401-92.

Unnecessary or incorrect repairs resulting from a failure to update the i-HDS are not covered under warranty.
i-HDS Software Version: 1.005.033 or later
J2534 Rewrite Software Information:
•
PC Application Version 1.1.0.6 or later
•
Database update 06-SEP-2019 or later
Before beginning the repair, make sure that both the i-HDS and J2534 Rewrite software are updated as listed
above.
Do only the update listed in this service bulletin.
You cannot apply the updates with the MVCI as a standalone tool. To update the software you must use the MVCI
or the DST-i interface in conjunction with the J2534 Rewrite PC application on the i-HDS.
