Issue: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U210A-27 and/ or C1A24-64 observed in the Chassis Control
Module (CHCM) during diagnosis, leading to unnecessary replacement of the air suspension
compressor. Please note that the DTCs do not generate an air suspension fault on the instrument cluster
or display any vehicle symptoms.
Cause: DTCs generated due to oversensitive software algorithm.
Action: If any of the DTCs are stored on a 16/ 17/ 18 Model Year (MY) vehicle up to the assured VINs
below, please update the CHCM software to the latest level using Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) or
Pathfinder as appropriate. If the DTCs appear on any other MY vehicles then continue with diagnosis as
guided using SDD or Pathfinder.
Pathfinder diagnostic procedure:
1. Caution: This procedure requires Pathfinder 233 loaded or later version. With Pathfinder and the
Jaguar
Land Rover (JLR) approved battery support unit connected, select ‘ECU Diagnostics’.
2. Select ‘Chassis Control Module (CHCM).
3. Select ‘Update ECU’.
4. Follow all on-screen instructions to complete the task.
5. If required, reset the vehicle into ‘Transportation mode’.
6. When the task is completed, exit the current session.
7. Disconnect Pathfinder and battery support unit.
SDD diagnostic procedure:
1. Caution: This procedure requires SDD 156.05 and Software Management Pack 316 loaded or later
version. With SDD and the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved battery support unit connected select
‘Diagnosis’ session type.
2. Select any one of the following symptoms:
Electrical – Instruments – Warning lamps – Suspension warning lamp
Chassis- - Suspension system – Vehicle dynamic suspension – Height – Will not lower
Chassis- - Suspension system – Vehicle dynamic suspension – Height – Will not raise
3. Run and close the ‘Datalogger’ tool to reveal the ‘Extras’ tab.
4. Run configure existing module ‘Chassis control module’.
5. When all of the tasks are complete, exit the session.
6. Disconnect SDD and battery support unit.
