SUBJECT DETAIL
The attached price list reflects current charges to engine horsepower ratings for HDEP
and MDEG engine platforms. This form of pricing has been in effect since 2016 and has
been recently updated to include DD5 and DD8 engines.
Those who are capable of accessing DTNA Connect, the following link can be used to
determine the price for the uprate (login may be required). Click the “Horsepower
Torque Price Sheet” to determine the overall price.
The price charged to your facility is based on the engine type and the difference in the
original rating.

All Derates will be charged a $250 flat fee.
NOTE: Uprates are based on vehicle configuration. Some ratings will be unavailable if
the unit does not have the proper specifications (i.e. adequate transmission torque load,
correct pistons, etc).

As an example, if a customer wanted to uprate a DD15 from 475HP/1550 lb•ft to
505HP/1750 lb•ft the cost to the facility would be $1,140.

ENGINE CONDITIONS
There are several different engine configurations which will not allow uprating and/or
uprating to certain horsepower ratings. Please keep in mind the following information:

Any SS DD8 from 260/660 can be uprated to
260/720, 280/800, & max SS rating of 300/860.
Cannot use a Dual Stage rating. Front engine
configurations cannot use a rear engine
calibration and vice versa.

DD8 Dual Stage
(DS) Turbo

Any DS DD8 from 330/1000 can be uprated to
the max DS rating of 350/1050. The 375/1050
rating is for fire/emergency vehicles only.
Cannot use a Single Stage rating. Front engine
configurations cannot use a rear engine
calibration and vice versa.

DD5 Quick Launch

210/575 rating cannot be uprated to 230/660
due to different pistons.

DD5 Full Scope

200/560 rating cannot be uprated to 220/560 or
240/660 due to different pistons.
