Description
Certain Peterbilt vehicles equipped with MX-11 or MX-13 display a Service Advised message reading: Service advised – Repair Fault at Convenient Time.

Introduction
Peterbilt has determined that certain vehicles manufactured with an MX-11 or MX-13 engine from 11/30/2015 through 07/18/2016 may display a message in the Service Advised display after updating the CECU
software. The message reads: Service advised – Repair Fault at Convenient Time. The Warnings and Faults display may also indicate there are no warnings.

Resolution
FIX-AS-FAIL
If a customer comes into your dealership and demonstrates the condition above, use the procedure below to correctly set the parameter called VSCP – Variable Speed Coolant Pump Enabled (only MX 2017 and
Beyond).

Warranty
Through Standard Warranty (includes Extended Warranty), though the repairs may be superseded by future software enhancement bulletins, Peterbilt will pay for labor:
0.3 hours labor for software update. Use Quick Claim Code 03-070
This Service Bulletin addresses an issue that can occur if the CECU software was updated prior to the publishing of Service Bulletin 03-067. In the event Kenworth receives a claim for bulletin 03
after a claim for 03-067 has already been performed, the 03-070 claim will be rejected. It is incumbent on the servicing dealer to ascertain whether the related repair was previously completed
File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances, referencing 03070 in the CCC. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed first.

Connect ESA.
Confirm the error message below is present. It will be Active if the engine is running or Inactive if the engine is not running.

in ESA to display the parameter files.
Scroll down to the VSCP – Variable Speed Coolant Pump Enabled (Only MX 2017 and Beyond) or Variable Speed Water Pump Enable, and VSCP – Pressure Sensor Installed parameter, as listed for
model type in the tables below. The parameters are located near the bottom of the list.

The Engine Model Year (EMY) is displayed in the campaign field for each chassis in SIR

ESA to upload the parameter file.
Clear the CECU3 DTCs.
After the update is complete, start the engine. The "repair fault at convenient time" message should no longer be present in the Service Advised screen of the instrument cluster message center and Code
135103 should no longer be present.
