Customer states:
 There is a warning message regarding the rear lighting displayed in the instrument cluster.
A6, A7, and A8:
 The rear lighting operates properly.
Q5:
 The rear lighting function is switched to lower bumper as if the trunk is open.
Workshop findings:
One or more of the following DTCs are stored in the comfort system central control module, J393 (address word
0046). In the case of Q5, at least one DTC is static:
 DTC B12C315 (Right brake light bulb, interruption/short circuit to positive).
 DTC B12C215 (Left brake light bulb, interruption/short circuit to positive).
 DTC B133A15 (Bulb for left brake and tail light, interruption/short circuit to positive).
 DTC B133C15 (Bulb for right brake and tail light, interruption/short circuit to positive).
 DTC B12BE15 (Left tail light bulb, interruption/short circuit to positive).
 DTC B12BF15 (Right tail light bulb, interruption/short circuit to positive).
 DTC B12C615 (Bulb for high-level brake light, interruption/short circuit to positive).

1. Erase the DTCs.
Q5:
1. Switch off ignition
2. Gain access to Fuse Panel F –SF- on Relay and Fuse Panel 2 –SR2- in the left luggage compartment.
3. Remove the following fuses:
Fuse panel 1 -ST1- w/ fuse panel F -SF- , black:
 Fuse 9 (on fuse panel F) -SF9- (Image 1C) 20A.
 Fuse 11 (on fuse panel B) -SF11- (Image 1B) 20A.
Fuse panel 3 -ST3- w/ fuse panel F -SF- , brown:
 Fuse 14 (on fuse panel F) -SF14- (Image 1A) 20A.

5. Reinstall the fuses.
