DESCRIPTION
This document will provide the user with information on updating the Wabco OnGuard system software.
This software update only applies to 500K OnGuard systems with Cummins engines built before 9/24/2018.
The software update is intended to reduce potential false occurrences of the collision mitigation system alerts and interventions.
If any DTCs other than those listed below are present they must be diagnosed first.

Yes. Diagnose these faults and retest
for the customer complaint.
No. Go to Step 2.

Check the forward radar for any alignment faults and/or bumper damage.
Is the bumper damaged and or radar in need of an alignment?
Decision
Yes. Repair the bumper as needed and
perform radar alignment per the
OnGuard Manual MM-1306 and retest
for the customer complaint.

a report for the radar and the
ABS module, then open a tech
service case file and attach the
reports.

DIAGNOSTIC:
Decision
After the radar has been successfully programmed, email the saved "Before" and
"After" parameter files to [email protected]. The parameter files will be
located in the "OnGuardACTIVE™ ECR 2.3 Update Tool" folder, the same folder as
the OnGuardACTIVE™ Programming Tool 4.0.0.4 software. The .par files will have
the VIN as the filename. The two .par files generated by this application will be
named VIN_BEFORE.par and VIN_AFTER.par.
Once completed clear the
faults and return the vehicle to
service.

Email these two parameter files to [email protected]. Please enter
"ECR2.3N" followed by the VIN in the subject line of the email message.
