Feedback Corner
This week’s feedback is from Bruce, regarding a 2013 Passat Wiring Diagram. He states:
"Wire colors for the J906 Starter relay 1 are incorrect when compared to the vehicle. T7/1 85
is Blue/Red tracer and T7/2 86 is Black/Violet tracer on the vehicle. The diagram shows T7/1
85 is RT/SW & T7/2 86 is BR."

This feedback was reviewed by the Service Information Team and the wiring diagram was
updated. Bruce included his full name and email address with the feedback and will be receiving
Generation VW Bucks for helping improve the quality of the repair information.

Starting in MY 2013 all VW TDI vehicles come equipped with a mis-fuel inhibitor installed
in the fuel tank filler neck to prevent accidental mis-fueling of the fuel tank with the
incorrect fuel. This document is being published to help answer any questions regarding
this component.

Some readiness codes on TDI clean diesel vehicles require special driving conditions to be

set. If DTCs have been recently erased from the vehicle’s ECM, it may take additional
driving under different conditions to fully set OBD readiness parameters.
