Bulletin Classification: This repair bulletin provides instructions and guidelines for a noted condition or a customer
concern. The information provided can address a broad range of known or perceived issues with the operation of Tesla
vehicles. This bulletin might not be VIN-specific. These instructions assume knowledge of motor vehicle and high voltage
electrical component repairs, and should only be executed by trained professionals. Tesla assumes no liability for injury or
property damage due to a failure to properly follow these instructions or repairs attempted by unqualified individuals.
Condition
Some early Model 3 vehicles were built with a RH rear reflex lens that was susceptible to cosmetic issues such as visible
weld spots or foggy blemishes.
Correction
Upon customer complaint, inspect the vehicle for the condition described. If necessary, replace both the RH rear reflex
lens and the charge port door and hinge cover.
NOTE: The charge port door and hinge cover must be replaced with an updated part to match the styling of the new reflex
lens.

Procedure
1. Replace the RH rear reflex lens (refer to Service Manual procedure 17404502).
2. Replace the charge port door and hinge cover (refer to Service Manual procedure 44011702).
