Introduction
Peterbilt
has determined that PACCAR MX-11 Model Year 2016 engines and MX-13 Model Year 2014, 2015,
2016, and 2017 engines may have been built with CCV modules that may fail prematurely.
Engines equipped with one of the Hengst CCV part numbers listed below qualify for this extended
coverage.

Please Note: Only chassis with CCV systems manufactured by Hengst are eligible for this
extended coverage.

FIX-AS-FAIL
If a customer comes into your dealership and demonstrates the condition above:
1. Verify the chassis is included in the attached chassis list to determine if it is covered by the
extended emissions warranty described in the Warranty section.
2. Check SIR for E221A or E221B (MX-13 engines) or E221C (MX-11 engines).

If E221A, B, or C is listed, the chassis is not covered by the Extended Warranty because

another dealer performed the one-time repair and filed for Quick Claim E221A-C. The E221A-C
campaign code will display in SIR as “completed”. Continue with your normal customer pay
repair path.

If E221A, B, or C is not listed, but the chassis is on the chassis list, the chassis is covered by
the Extended Warranty, perform the procedure below and file the warranty claim as described
in the warranty section.
NOTE
The extended emissions warranty covers a one-time replacement of the CCV and
associated troubleshooting.
Warranty
Through the Extended Warranty period of 10 years/435,000 vehicle miles/22,000 engine hours,
whichever comes first, from the original warranty registration date, Peterbilt will pay for parts at dealer net
plus applicable mark-up and labor:
Use SRT 045-550 to R&R CCV on MX-13 engines on Engine Model Year 2014-2016. File a long form claim
and reference E221A in the campaign field.
Use SRT 045-550 to R&R CCV on MX-13 engines on Engine Model Year 2017. File a long form claim
and reference E221B in the campaign field.
Use SRT 045-550 to R&R CCV on MX-11 engines. File a long form claim and reference E221C in the
campaign field.
For customer reimbursement of a previous repair paid by a customer, file a long form
claim, include a copy of the receipt, and repair order for the repair.
File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances.
Kenworth Vehicle Repairs:
Peterbilt dealers may perform E221 repairs on Kenworth vehicles. Use the long claim input form in DWWC
by selecting Draft/Offline Claims, General tab, and in the Type of Claim drop down box, select
PACCAR Engine Claim. Use the claim codes listed below AND send an e-mail to
